Duscha.nu is a website at duscha.nu and an app for iPhone and iPad, in every country it covers. This page describes what data is handled when you use them. In short: no accounts, no cookies, no advertising, and nothing sold on.
Your settings (country, electricity zone, how your water is heated, shower length, flow, temperatures, supplier markup, grid fee, energy tax, and district heating or gas prices) are stored locally in your browser or in the app on your device. They are never sent to us. Choosing Reset to defaults deletes them.
The first time the app starts, it reads which region your phone is set to, to open the right country. This happens entirely on the device and is sent nowhere.
duscha.nu/api/prices, our own service on Vercel. The request contains your
electricity zone and the date and, as with any network request, your IP address; nothing
is stored by us. That service gets the prices from the
ENTSO-E Transparency Platform, converted at
the European Central Bank's exchange rate, or from
one source per country: elprisetjustnu.se
(Sweden), elprisenligenu.dk (Denmark),
hvakosterstrommen.no (Norway),
sahkotin.fi (Finland),
Elering (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania),
EnergyZero (the Netherlands),
SMARD, the Bundesnetzagentur's market data (Germany,
Belgium and France), aWATTar (Austria) and
PSE (Poland). Spain's regulated hourly price, the
PVPC, comes from Red Eléctrica alone.
Those services see our server, never you. In Denmark, if you choose your grid company
in the settings, the request also names that company, so the price can include its own
tariff; the tariffs come from Energinet's DataHub. Versions 1.2 and earlier of the iOS app fetch
from elprisetjustnu.se and EnergyZero directly.duscha.nu/api/zone which zone you
are probably in. The answer is based only on the approximate location our host Vercel
derives from your IP address. No location services are used, no permission is asked for,
and the answer is not stored by us. You can always choose another zone. The website and the service above are hosted by Vercel, which like any host may keep technical logs (time, IP address, requested address) for a limited period for operations and security.
The website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies and stores no IP address; to tell visits apart it creates a temporary, anonymous signature of IP address and browser that is destroyed within a day. What we see is aggregate: number of visits, which pages, country, browser and device type. No individual can be identified, and the statistics are not shared with anyone. The iPhone and iPad app uses no visitor statistics.
The app collects no data about you. It contains no advertising, no purchases and no sign-in. In Apple's classification, no data is collected.
The service is not aimed specifically at children and collects no personal data from anyone.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page is updated.
